Above all the protection of our environment is of paramount importance for the company. That’s why Dralon produces synthetic fibers under the most advanced and gentle conditions, which contribute to the solution of environmental problems. Because for the production of a ton of dralon® acrylic fiber, only five cubic metres of water are needed. Significantly less than for the cultivation of natural fibers. Learn more!
And the emissions balance is also pretty impressive. This is demonstrated by the carbon footprint compiled only earlier this month by the independent consulting firm Systain Consulting in accordance with ISO 14040 / ISO 14044 showing a CO2 balance which is significantly below the international industry average.
The favourable emissions balance results from the CO2-efficient production of the two main preliminary products and, in particular, from the energy-efficient production at Dralon as certified by the German Society for Quality (DQS) according to § 41 para. 1 no. 4 of the Renewable Energy Act (EEG) 2009. Here the supply of energy from low-emission fuels such as natural gas has a positive affect.
