2004 - 50th Anniversary of the Dralon brand nameThis year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Dralon brand of our acrylic fibers. It all began in 1954 with an annual production of 84 tons. In these “golden days” of manmade fibers the selling price was above DM 17 (€ 8.80!). Over the years, capacity increase was coping with market demand and the product range was expanded. Since 1983, through the acquisition of Faserwerke Lingen GmbH from Monsanto Group, Dralon has developed into the largest producer of dry and wetspun acrylic fibers worldwide. Times have changed since. In today’s market the challenge for all of us is global competitiveness. Dralon has kept up with the changes in a modern business environment. With a new company identity and structure since 2001, a solid financial background and in alliance with strong suppliers we are dedicated to serving our customers by adding value to their businesses. Meanwhile Dralon has achieved the market leadership in the acrylic fibers market. We are recognized as a supplier who understands the customers‘ processes and provides solutions and services to guarantee our costumers‘ full satisfaction.
